Kevin Costner legal case is dismissed

Hollywood actor Kevin Costner has ended a court case against a music promoter he claimed had failed to back his music career.

Costner, 55, began proceedings in 2007, claiming that Mahee Worldwide Ventures had reneged on a deal to book the Kevin Costner Band for up to five shows a year and maintain a marketing website.

The company has filed for bankruptcy. Costner's lawyer said the bankruptcy revealed the company had no assets and it was "time to move on". A lawyer for Mahee was not available for comment.
